INTRODUCTION:

Hinckley’s Picnic Boat Classic combines traditional aesthetics in her beautiful lines and stunning craftsmanship with modern design and materials. TRIDENT’s thoughtful features and appointments, including shallow waterjet draft, easy and intuitive Jetstick control system, Garmin electronics, an open and comfortable pilothouse, and cockpit with ample deck space and seating. Below in the cabin, she sleeps two comfortably and offers amenities including galley and head with shower.

CONSTRUCTION

Hull is Hinckley proprietary DUALGUARD with Kevlar/E-glass outer skins and Carbon Fiber inner skins, end grain balsa laminated via the SCRIMP process with vinylester resin. Deck and cockpit is E-glass and balsa core, molded with polyester resin. The deck and cockpit sole have molded-in nonskid pattern.

COCKPIT

Entry to the boat is via a teak deck step and a stainless steel and teak tread step inside the coaming that has port and starboard mounting brackets.

 

Cockpit features:

• Molded nonskid sole with direct drainage scuppers
• Full cockpit cover attaches with snaps- covers cockpit from pilothouse to end of transom
• Varnished teak cockpit coaming
• Varnished teak drink table with four drink holders and folding leaf mounted to aft end of engine box
• A removable seat back with forward and aft positions offers seat or lounge comfort.
• Stowage - in cockpit lockers with varnished teak doors and (3) flush cockpit-sole hatches

PILOTHOUSE

INTERIOR ACCOMMODATIONS

From the pilothouse, through the varnished teak companionway door and down two companionway steps is the galley to port, private head to starboard, and the V-berth forward. The interior is finished in satin-varnished cherry, including sheathing, with a varnished teak and holly cabin sole.

GALLEY (Port)

The galley is to port with Formica countertop that has a stainless steel sink with Grohe fixtures and hot and cold pressure water. The stove is set in the countertop forward and has a custom wood stove cover/cutting board that adds to the already ample counter space surrounding the sink. The Adler Barber refrigeration is mounted aft of the sink and is accessed by a lift-up top.

 

The “pantry” locker separates the galley from the V-berth area with a louvered door and several shelves. The stereo is above this locker. Additional storage is under the galley sink and in three drawers.

• 110-volt shore power inlet, relay and shore power cord
• 30-amp inverter/battery charger with remote display
• 110-volt outlets - in head and galley

2014 Yanmar 6LY2A-STP 440-hp diesel engine with Hamilton 292 Jet Drive, Twin Disc MG 5050 transmission and Vetus 7” bow thruster. Hinckley upgraded Jet Stick 1.5 (Gen 3-type) control system integrated with the bow thruster.
