Back Cove 30 Sea Trial!

June 30, 2010

The Back Cove 30 was out for her sea trial today. Here are some comments from Back Cove's own Bentley Collins,

"She looks fabulous underway. She looks and feels bigger than 30 feet. Going through wakes etc she felt very solid. No pounding or any bad habits that I could find. She leans gracefully into turns and does not stay flat so turning radius' are quite tight. The standard Yanmar 315 felt powerful and she came onto plane very quickly. She is very dry with zero spray coming anywhere near the windshield. Granted it was a very calm day but with plenty of boat wakes trying to get us wet. She uses no tab to trim her out to her running angle, only adjustments for crew weight and placement. Cruise speed with the standard 315 Yanmar is as projected, 20 knots. Sound levels were very good and considerably lower than her predecessor the Back Cove 29."
